"Fade Away" is about depression and the self-deprecating thoughts that fill our minds daily. We sometimes suffer quietly and never reach out for help until it's too late. I wrote this song because I genuinely thought I was losing my mind and needed help. I lost two friends in the past year, and I became overwhelmed with everyday life. There were days when I didn't eat or get out of bed. I felt like I was slowly dying inside, and I felt like I had no purpose in life. So, I wrote Fade Away on the days I felt like getting up. Writing this song helped me work through my depression. I still have good and bad days, but I can now tell those self-deprecating thoughts to shut up.
