Life in the Vortex is 6 track album that represents how life can be a whirlwind and could seem bleak and overwhelming, at times. Life is a vortex that we must overcome; we can overcome, we'll be able to see the light, and the clear path in front of us.
Life in the Vortex shows how music is life and I believe that it’s ingrained in everyone’s life in some way. I grew up listening to classical, R&B, soul, gospel, and rock music, so this album is a mixture of gospel, classical, and rock influences. Originality comes from the heart and your own experience, and for me, it comes out in music. My focus in life is to keep life in music and keep music in our lives because music has brought me strength and healing. I hope this album brings you strength and healing as well. The first track of this album represents the whirlwind that we face in life, and as the album progresses, it becomes more clear and uplifting. Each track is a story about my journey through understanding and finding myself and being able to lift myself out of the destruction and enjoy the beauty we call life.
